Under these situations the Knight Riders will take on Delhi Daredevils on Wednesday. The Daredevils have been inconsistent though but are still comfortable at the second spot on the points table and having won against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous match they will come with rising confidence to take on the slipping Knight riders at the Riders home, Eden Gardens which is known for as much an intimidating support for their home team.
Although KKR might feel demoralized after their loss to Punjab, their high total should give them courage to face the Daredevils and challenge them. Their bowling has been their main concern and they need to do something drastic soon to recover from the damage. Brendon McCullum may come into the team at the expense of Angelo Mathews, mostly.
Daredevils may take in Dirk Nannes who is back after injury lay off and AB De Villiers might give way for him. And Gambhir hasn’t hit form so far and this could well be an opportunity for him to find his form.
