NFL Draft Betting Odds

While the NFL has tweaked the format of its draft — the first round takes place on Thursday, the second to third on Friday and last four on Saturday — the basics remain the same and the worst team, the St. Louis Rams, will be selecting first.

Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford is being touted by many as the first-selection overall and seeing as the Rams have released QB Marc Bulger, there seems to be logic to that.

In a recent USA Today mock draft, an eight-analyst panel unanimously predicted that Bradford would be the player that the St. Louis Rams would select in the one-spot.

According to sportsbooks, Bradford is an overwhelming favorite to be No. 1 overall at -1200 and +550 not to be the top pick.  Checking online sportsbook SPORTSBETTING.com, the Sooners’ signal-caller is also listed at +500 to be the two-pick overall. There was a movement to award last year’s Heisman Trophy to Nebraska Cornhusker defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

NHL Betting: Varlamov Starting For Caps?

As mentioned, Game 3 of the Washington Capitals-Montreal Canadiens series goes tonight and Washington is strongly hinting that Semyon Varlamov will start in net.

The Caps are -170 road and puckline faves for tonight’s game and the Total is set at 6.
Although Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau didn’t officially announce who the starting goalie will be, many speculated that it would not be Jose Theodore who started Game 1 and lasted only 7:58 of Game 2 — Theodore allowed two goals on two shots.

According to the Washington Post, it looks like Varlamov will indeed start between the pipes.
The Post’s Tarik El-Bashir noticed that Varlamov was the first off the ice at Monday’s practice — a sign that he could start tonight.

Varlamov has captain Alexander Ovechkin’s support.

“Last year, [Varlamov] stepped up for us and he won the series against the Rangers and he has experience,” Ovechkin is quoted as saying by ESPN. “He knows how to play in playoffs, so it’s good.”

Washington Capitals vs Montreal Canadiens Live Odds, Picks – NHL Playoffs 2010

Washington Capitals vs Montreal Canadiens Live Odds @ Sportsbook: The NHL match between Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens will kick off on April 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM ET. This match will takes place at Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals gave their fans reason to "Rock the Red" after salvaging a split at home to open their first Stanley Cup playoff matchup against Montreal.

Now they're eager to put a dent in the "bleu, blanc et rouge" enthusiasm of the Canadiens' passionate and demanding fans.

Powered by Ovechkin's four-point effort and Nicklas Backstrom's overtime winner to complete a hat trick, the top-seeded Capitals avoided falling into an 0-2 series hole with a 6-5 comeback victory in Game 2 on Saturday night.

Ovechkin thinks Washington has a great opportunity to ride its momentum as the series shifts to Bell Centre for the Capitals' Montreal playoff debut Monday night.

Round 1 of the 2010 NFL Draft takes place in primetime on April 22 and the St. Louis Rams are on the clock.

With a record of 1-15 last season, the Rams could go a number of different ways in the first-round of the draft but they could be on the verge of selecting Oklahoma Sooners QB Sam Bradford, who is listed at -1200 to be the first pick overall.

Bradford was put through his paces in a private workout with the Rams last Friday and according to reports he looked impressive.
The Associated Press suggests that since St. Louis released QB Marc Bulger all signs point to the team taking a signal-caller in the first-round.

The AP goes on to say that it would be a “huge surprise” if the Rams don’t take Bradford.
Will the Rams take Sam Bradford as many are prediction or will they select Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh?
Will they take someone else?

Liverpool vs West Ham United Live Odds, Picks and Predictions

Online Betting - Liverpool vs West Ham United Live Odds: The Premier League match between Liverpool and West Ham United will kick off on 19 April 2010 at 20:00 UK. This match is schedules at Anfield, England.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is a doubt for the visit of West Ham on Monday.
Soccer Betting
Liverpool are not even assured of that coming into this live English Premiership online streaming football game as even their 13th home victory over West Ham United will see them still ahead of Aston Villa but having played a game more.

The Spain international missed last weekend's goalless draw against Fulham after flying to Barcelona to have a knee injury assessed by a specialist.

Having returned to Merseyside for the Hillsborough memorial service he was due to fly out to Spain for another examination by the surgeon who operated on the knee in January but the closure of British airspace for the volcanic ash cloud has delayed that.

Benitez will not consider playing Torres until he has had another examination, which puts his participation against West Ham in doubt.

Defenders Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio are both still out so Daniel Agger is set to continue at left-back.
