Forth Seed Andy Murray’s tough draw continues in French Open with a third round match against Marcos Baghdatis. Murray faced Richard Gasquet in first round and won the match in five sets after loosing first two sets, he fought back extremely well. In the second round match against Chela won in four sets, this match finished more than 24 hours after it started.
Marcos Baghdatis, Who is at 30 in the world rankings will play today against world number 4 player Andy Murray in the third round. He won the first round match against Jesse Witten in straight sets very easily and in the second round against Spanish player Marcel Granollers in four sets.
The both are faced two times in international tournaments and Baghdatis won two matches against Murray. In 2006 Wimbledon Baghdatis won in straight sets. After that they both played in Cincinnati TMS, Baghdatis defeated Murray again in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. But those victories are on Hard and Grass Courts.
"I haven't played him for a long time," said Murray. "At Wimbledon he beat me comfortably.” "He's a very talented player. He's tough to play against, great shot-maker, moves well, big serve. I haven't played him for a long time but I've seen him play a lot of great matches. He's very entertaining to watch, it's going to be tricky."
"It's nice to play against opponents that it will be a great fight," Baghdatis said. "Andy is a great player. I'm looking forward to playing a great match with him."
Odds are a bit much on the Murray as favorite in this match.
