It’s a PGA Tour golf tournament founded by Jack Nicklaus, Established in 1976 and played at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. The golf course passes through a large neighborhood called Muirfield Village. The course was officially dedicated on Memorial Day, May 27, 1974, with an exhibition match between Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. As a restricted field event on the PGA Tour, only the first 75 players on the previous year's money-list are guaranteed invites.
In the first round English pro Justin Rose, who placed 10th at the European Tour's showcase event, leads along with Rickie Fowler and Geoff Ogilvy.
Phil Mickelson headed a chase pack that lurked two shots back, as soft conditions allowed 48 players to break par at Muirfield Village.
The Second round of The Memorial Tournament will play on Friday, June 04, 2010 at 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ET
