All the talk this week has been about four time champion Tiger Woods making his return to the game, but I like some other golfers to take the spot light away and get it done this weekend. Down below are my predictions and betting odds on the golfers who I believe have a great shot at putting on the green jacket this Sunday.
Retief Goosen (+2000) – Look for the South African to rebound from last year’s performance in a big way. After placing in the top 20 in his last seven Masters appearance, Goosen missed last year’s cut with a disappointing score of +2.
Over the last eight years at the Master Tournament, Goosen has finished in the top 5 four times including two 3rd place finishes in 2005 and 2006, and two 2nd place finishes in 2002 where he shot an impressive 9 under and his most recent in 2007 where his +3 performance was good for a second place tie with Tiger Woods. Goosen has gotten off to a great start in 2010 where he has finished in the top 10 in five of his seven PGA events this season.
