How Many Games In The Eastern Conference Playoffs Go?

That's good news for the Miami Heat. In NBA Match there is nothing worse.

Could it be?

Chicago Bulls dealt the humiliating defeat Miami in Game 1 Sunday in the final of the Eastern Conference, it brought a smile to all the haters who want to heat this day, when LeBron James sat down on national television in a Boys and Girls Club.

All were smiling as the Chicago mob yelled "overrated" at the end of the game.

You should believe that the only way for Miami to go up. There is very low.

The Bulls were 19-6 margin offensive boards, hit 10 3s, and the league's No. 1 defense held James and Dwayne Wade 12-for-32 from the field.

While Chris Bosh scored 30 points for Miami, Chicago had 10 players score, including 28 of Derrick Rose and Luol Deng 21.

"You play defense. You play defense and fly and get an offensive rebound, Kick It Out for three or get a tray or a mate," said James. "It is demoralizing for a team on the defensive. We must find a way correct the situation. "

Game 2 in Chicago, is Wednesday. Are the Bulls continue to dominate the series or the heat will be able to clean up your act?

Derrick Rose Won NBA’s MVP Award

Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose got NBA’s (MVP) Most Valuable Player award for his best performance.

Derrick was the youngest player to win the NBA MVP for the year 2010. He was 20 year old player got this award as he led Chicago Bulls to 62-20 record in playoffs. On Monday night he shared his views on getting the MVP award.

Chicago Bulls won the NBA Match against Atlanta Hawks, 86-73 on Wednesday night. Rose was the best player in the match, with 25 points and 10 assists. But something has gone wrong. He had eight turnovers, and he hasn’t shot well the entire postseason.

On Wednesday, he was 10-for-27. After losing Game 1, the word around the locker room was that they lacked energy for some reason. More likely, the energy level was fine. This was just what happens in the playoffs: Things get clamped down, blocked out, clogged up, knocked around, and packed together. And so far, we’re talking about Indiana and Atlanta. The Bulls won Wednesday by doing all year as a system: hustling, rebounding, playing defense. This works fine against the Heat in the regular sports season, but it’s uncertain that will be enough in a conference final.

Rose will learn. He is learning. And he has another week or so to figure this out and find a pace for the Bulls.

NBA Betting – Boston Celtics Value

The demise of the Boston Celtics has been written over and over this NBA betting offseason. It seems many are giving the Miami Heat the best basketball odds to reach the NBA finals. Did we miss something here? Aren’t the Celts bringing back, essentially, the same team that was a few points away from winning the title?

Boston has been called aging and finished by the critics for a couple of years now. Still, their veteran stars continue to perform at a high level. NBA odds are starting to skew towards the Heat and all of their new acquisitions. However, basketball bettors at Sports Betting shouldn’t overlook the Celtics.

Boston had a very quiet offseason. They re-signed both Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, two of their key veterans. Boston also managed to replace the retired Rasheed Wallace with Shaquille O’Neal. In Shaq, Boston loses some of the outside shooting ability that Wallace brought, but they now have less of a risk of technical fouls and they upgrade their rebounding ability. Boston was terribly outrebounded versus the Lakers in the final postseason game last year and knew they needed to correct that element.

Meanwhile, point guard Rajon Rondo continues to emerge for the Celtics. Each year, he becomes more critical to the Celtics success and his game becomes more well-rounded. If he can develop a reliable outside jump shot, Boston should be able to match up with anyone in the league, and yes, that includes the Miami Heat.

Right now the Celtics are a 10-1 shot to win the NBA title at the sportsbook. Now is the perfect chance to get in on those favorable future odds. With Miami and the Lakers listed as 6-4 co-favorites to win it all, the respect for Boston has waned considerably. Look for this experienced team to use this as motivation in their quest to get back to the finals and finish what they couldn’t this past June.

NBA Playoffs: Knicks Eying Their Own Big Three?

Maybe this Big Three thing is going to become a fad. NBA betting fans have been taken on a roller coaster ride throughout the historic 2010 NBA free agent period and just days after LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh united in Miami to form a powerhouse, there could be another one in the works.
online Sportsbook

If you’re a betting many, at this point you’d probably start to put some weight into it.

This past week, Carmelo Anthony got married and it just so happened that superstar point guard Chris Paul and newly signed New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire were there to attend. Their plan? To unite in New York in the coming years – allegedly.

When you do the math, it is quite possible. Anthony is a pending free agent after this year and while the Denver Nuggets will do everything possible to re-sign him, there is the chance that he walks to become an even bigger star in New York. Especially with James, Wade and Bosh – more specifically the first two – concentrating on South Beach, Anthony could become the games most marketable superstar in New York, which would be very enticing to him. He also played at Syracuse, which is near by.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Hornets have already been rumored to be listening to Paul trade requests. As ludicrous as it sounds, they might start to believe that the parts are worth the sum if they don’t improve in the next year or so, and they take the package.

So how would a Knicks squad of Stoudemire, Paul and Anthony compare to Wade, James and Bosh? Basketball betting fans can only hope it happens as it would make for some pretty exciting Eastern Conference playoff series.

NBA Futures Betting: Fisher Won’t Take Heat

NBA Betting Odds and Picks: Well, as surprising as it seems an NBA player actually said “No thanks” to the Miami Heat.

While the Heat were able to re-sign Dwyane Wade and add Chris Bosh and LeBron James, guard Derek Fisher decided against joining Miami in favor of his old team, the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

“My free agency was a time for me to re-evaluate my position in the league, reflect on my accomplishments individually and as a teammate, and determine what new goals I want to achieve in the future,” Fisher said on his official website.

“I have decided to continue with Kobe, continue with our teammates and the fans of Los Angeles. While this may not be the most lucrative contract I’ve been offered this off season, it is the most valuable.”

“I am confident I will continue to lead this team on and off the court. Let the hunt for six begin…”

According to ESPN, Fisher’s deal is for three years for $10.5 million with an option in year three and also reports that Fisher met with Miami Heat brass on Saturday in Miami.

With or without Fisher, the Over/Under on the total amount of championships the Miami Heat will win in the next five seasons is 1.5.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 26-points while Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 30 and Pau Gasol led everybody with 14 rebounds.

NBA: Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers Preview

“They’re not going to start out with a 30-point lead,” said Frye, forgetting the Suns lost to the Lakers by a mere 21 points Monday night. “It’s over, and we’re going to be even again, so hopefully we’ll do a better job.”

The Suns seemed cautiously upbeat Tuesday at their Staples Center workout following Los Angeles’ 128-107 victory in the opener. Coach Alvin Gentry held court with team personnel at the scorers’ table, while Steve Nash(notes) calmly sipped a cup of tea across the way.

And Amare Stoudemire was still talking tough before Game 2 on Wednesday night.

The Suns forward, who promised physical play against the Lakers’ bulky frontcourt before the series, was unimpressed by Lamar Odom(notes), who had 19 points and 19 rebounds off the Lakers’ bench in the opener.

“He had a lucky game in Game 1,” said Stoudemire, who seems particularly fiery in what might be his last few games with Phoenix if he declines a contract option and becomes a free agent this summer.

“We’ve just got to make sure we box him out,” said Stoudemire, who managed just three rebounds while Odom set a career playoff high on the boards. “I think I focused so much on (Pau) Gasol and (Andrew) Bynum to where he sneaked in there and got 19 boards.”

Odom and his teammates could only chuckle at Stoudemire’s bravado after another workout at their El Segundo training complex. Odom’s versatile, aggressive effort helped Los Angeles hold off the Suns in the first half until Kobe Bryant(notes) scorched them for 21 points in the third quarter.

“It was good. We can do better,” Odom said. “Hopefully I can have another lucky game.”

“You have to earn luck,” Gasol chimed in.

With a little luck, the Lakers could be on a roll to their third straight NBA finals after a commanding performance in their seventh straight playoff win.

Stoudemire’s teammates aren’t counting on good fortune to help them recover from their one-sided loss. They remain confident their pick-and-roll offense will create easier baskets later in the series, and they also hope to stop the Lakers from hitting 58 percent of their shots, as Bryant and Co. did in their highest-scoring playoff game in more than two years.

“Some of the things we game-planned for, we actually did well,” said Nash, who had 13 points and 13 assists. “We just didn’t hit shots. We want to cut down on their transitions and create some easier stuff for ourselves, but some of the things they did, you’ve just got to tip your hat to.”

The Suns hadn’t lost since April 24, but their playoff streak skidded to a halt in their most one-sided loss since Jan. 16, featuring the most points they’ve allowed since March 26. Phoenix hasn’t lost back-to-back games since Jan. 25-26, when the Suns began their 28-7 finish to the regular season, pushing them into third place in the conference standings.

Bryant, who had the first 40-point game against the Suns all season, didn’t speak to reporters after taking it easy in another practice session. Yet for all the talk about Bryant’s accumulated injuries, the Suns realize he shows no signs of slowing down after five straight 30-point playoff games capped by his first 40-point postseason performance since last year’s NBA finals.

“The shots he made, we could run anybody at him—we could run Schwarzkopf at him,” Gentry said, referring to former Gulf War Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. “It doesn’t matter. He’s going to make them. The shot he made at the end of the first quarter, that’s what I’m talking about. That’s why they pay him $30 million a year. I think he’s the best finisher that ever played.”

The defending NBA champions mostly seemed unimpressed by their opening victory, which kept them unbeaten in six home playoff games.

Coach Phil Jackson felt numerous flaws in Los Angeles’ defensive performance were covered up by the Suns’ poor shooting, while Derek Fisher(notes) worried about going through a seven-game series at Phoenix’s preferred pace.

“Sometimes we played a little bit too fast,” Fisher said. “Something we want to come back to in Game 2 is making sure Pau and Drew and Ron (Artest) and Kobe get their opportunities inside to test their D. That’s where we’re difficult for teams to guard.”

Jackson dismissed the notion of any distraction for his team in the small protest outside Game 1 over his unclear stance on Arizona’s new immigration law. The coach said he saw about 30 protesters outside Staples Center after the game, and they had a few choice words for him as he drove away.

“Luck is part of the game,” said Jackson, whose teams in Chicago and Los Angeles are 46-0 after winning the first game of a playoff series. “You make your own luck, that’s what sports people like to say.”

Boston holds a 3-2 lead in that same round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. But Garnett’s right knee is healthy again and he’s playing some of his best basketball of the season. His offense has picked up and on Tuesday night he directed a defense that shut down LeBron James in a 120-88 rout in Cleveland.

“It’s a different ballgame when you’ve got one of your star players in there,” Davis said in a soft voice after a brief practice Wednesday. “He can carry a team with his actions.”

Lebron James Wins Second NBA MVP Award in Landslide

Lebron James was this years NBA MVP. I know that’s an easy statement to stand behind AFTER the award was handed to him, but it has truly been a fact sinc long before the season ended.

Lebron James was amazing this season. And stood alone as the natural choice for most valuable player. On all but seven ballots. Yes, amidst his amazing season, there were actually seven voters that thought Kevin Durant or Dwight Howard was the MVP. Keving Durant is a great basketball player, and may in fact move on to a handful of MVP awards in his own career, but the “greatest” of the great players this season? I dont think so. Dwight Howard, defensive player of the year, dunk champion, force in the pant? Not a chance.

Not if you saw Lebron this year. Not if you actually watched what this kid pulled off night in and night out. He was a force. It was ridiculous. nothing so dominating since “you know who” left the league the second time.

But there were still nay-sayers to his MVP conquest. I understand that there is a case to be made for many other players, but coming to the conclusion to officially cast your vote for somebody other than Lebron this year is actually saying that there is a case against James. Which there is not. Simply put, he was the best player on his team, in the league. One that his team could not do without, that other players feared playing against, and whose actual season stats are bordering on legendary status this year.

But alas, there will always be the homers, deciding to vote on who they see more often instead of who deserves it, and the only way to silence these doubters, is to bring home the first major sports championship to Cleveland in over 35 years.
