Eighth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Plays against Thiemo De Bakker, who is playing first French open in his carrier in the third round. Tsonga played against Daniel Brands in the first round and won in five set game. In the Second round match against Josselin Ouanna he won in straight sets 6-0, 6-1, and 6-4. Tsonga has never won any Grand slam Title in his carrier but he reached finals in 2008 Australian Open.
Thiemo De Bakker, Clay Court Specialist, is currently at 50 in world rankings played opening match at Roland Garros with an unseeded player Olivier Patience in four sets. In the second Round match he played against 32 seed Spanish player Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and won in four sets 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 and 7-5. This win gives him great confidence to play in the next rounds of tournament. He is playing exceptionally well from the beginning and already exceeded expectations. In the First French open in his carrier reached Third Round.
The both are played two times against each other and won each game. In the last meet recently at Barcelona ATP Bakker won against Tsonga in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 on Clay court. Bakker wants to repeat the same performance against top player but at the same time Tsonga wants to win this to make through fourth round at Rolland Garros.
Odds are a bit much on the Tsonga as favorite in this match.
