Indianapolis Colts vs Buffalo Bills NFL Preview

Indianapolis Colts vs Buffalo Bills

After the Indianapolis Colts all but threw away their chance for an undefeated season -- creating a swirl of controversy in the process -- they have even less reason to play their starters in the regular-season finale.

Peyton Manning and the rest of the Colts' stars will almost certainly see an abbreviated afternoon of action in Sunday's postseason tuneup against the host Buffalo Bills.

Leading 15-10 in the third quarter against the visiting New York Jets last Sunday, the Colts were in good shape to improve to 15-0 and win their 24th straight regular-season game until coach Jim Caldwell replaced Manning with rookie quarterback Curtis Painter.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cleveland Browns NFL Preview

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cleveland Browns

The Jacksonville Jaguars' playoff chances were in their own hands just three weeks ago. Three disheartening losses later, the Jaguars need what amounts to a minor miracle to qualify for the postseason -- and winning their finale is suddenly far from a sure thing.

The Jaguars look to bounce back from a four-touchdown defeat and give themselves a glimmer of hope Sunday when they visit the resurgent Cleveland Browns, who try to close with their first four-game winning streak in more than 15 years.

NHL - San Jose Sharks vs. Chicago Blackhawks - Bet on it

NHL Hockey betting would get exciting this Tuesday night with San Jose Sharks taking on Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago Blackhawks are the home team, while the San Jose Sharks are the visiting team. Hockey betting fans are definitely in for a feast this Tuesday night. The match would be played at the United Center.

The Chicago Blackhawks would be going into this game on a high note after a 3-0 win over Detroit Red Wings. Here’s some news for hockey betting fans, Chicago Blackhawks won both the previous encounters against San Jose Sharks in November. While the first game was won by Chicago Blackhawks 4-3, the second game was won 7-2.

The game would be exciting for both general viewers and hockey betting fans as well, since San Jose Sharks have put behind their recent loosing streak and registered a thumping win over Anaheim Ducks and pulled off a 4-2 win over the Stars in Dallas. Although San Jose Sharks had impressive wins against Pittsburgh Penguins, Colorado Avalanche and Kings, their consistency is a matter of concern.

Hockey betting fans putting money on San Jose Sharks have a reason to smile, the Sharks’ recent game against Anaheim Ducks reminded bettors of the team’s excellent performance in the early part of the season. Further, the Sharks’ best players led from the front.

Online nhl hockey betting fans expect the match to be challenging for San Jose Sharks as they had a season full of ups and downs. After winning back-to-back against Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators San Jose Sharks lost five consecutive matches.

Chicago Blackhawks, on the other hand, are considered to rank among the league’s best teams. Although San Jose Sharks are not in a must-win state, they would definitely use this game to rate themselves against the Western Conference. Hockey betting fans must look out for this exciting match. A resurgent San Jose Sharks vs. a very confident Chicago Blackhawks.

NFL 2009: Green Bay Packers Vs Detroit lions: Live Streaming

The Detroit Lions used to take a lot of pride in playing on Thanksgiving.

Lately, the Lions have been getting embarrassed when the nation tunes in to watch them.

Aaron Rodgers matched a career high with three touchdown passes and Charles Woodson grabbed two of his team's four interceptions, giving the Green Bay Packers a 34-12 win over Detroit.

The Lions have lost six straight games on the holiday, setting a franchise record, by an average of 23.2 points and eight of nine in the showcase game. The latest loss was an emotional setback for Detroit (2-9) four days after Matthew Stafford's gutsy play capped its biggest comeback win since 1957.

"It's a different feeling in this locker room -- especially on national television to come out like that," Detroit center Dominic Raiola said.

Before its recent slide, Detroit won four straight and nine of 12 on Thanksgiving before ex-general manager Matt Millen arrived in 2001 and made a lackluster franchise awful.

Green Bay (7-4) has won three straight since losing to Tampa Bay to improve its postseason prospects.

"We can't talk about the playoffs yet," Packers receiver Donald Driver said.

Stafford, playing with a sore non-throwing shoulder, threw one touchdown pass and four interceptions. He threw five TD passes in Sunday's win over Cleveland after trailing by 21.

"When you've got to throw the ball every down to try to get back into it when you're behind, guys are going to be all over it," Stafford said.

Kevin Smith's longest run was 6 yards and he finished with 43 on 18 carries for the Lions.

"This is the type of game that you hit your head on a wall about," Smith said.

The Lions looked as if they were building off their rare momentum by recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff and with Stafford's TD pass to Calvin Johnson.

But the Packers scored 27 unanswered points in the second and third quarters to turn the game into a familiar rout.

"We had to dig deep," Rodgers said. "There's a lot of resolve in this team and I'm confident in our team moving forward."

The Packers have won nine straight against the Lions overall, and coach Mike McCarthy is 8-0 against them.

Woodson returned his second interception for a score late in the game and struck a Heisman Trophy pose in the end zone.

"Being here in Michigan with all the fans I know I still have here," Woodson said. "I just wanted to remind those guys what it was like back when I was in school."

Woodson also forced and recovered a fumble and had a sack, capping an afternoon that included an announcement of his $2 million gift to the new University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital.

"It was a good day," Woodson said with a grin.

It was for Rodgers, too, as usual against the Lions.

Rodgers was 28 of 39 for 348 yards and connected with Driver, Donald Lee and James Jones for scores. He has played Detroit four times and those passing totals rank among the top eight in his career.

Driver had seven receptions for 142 yards, including a 68-yard catch, and a TD that gave the Packers a 20-7 lead midway through the third quarter.

Rodgers and Driver both credited their much-maligned offensive line.

"There were a couple times when I held the ball for 4 or 5 seconds -- maybe more," Rodgers said. "When you have that kind of time with the kind of players that we have, we feel like we're going to make plays."

Green Bay played without cornerback Al Harris and linebacker Aaron Kampman, both of whom had season-ending knee injuries in last week's win.

"Our defense was huge," McCarthy said. "That was the No. 1 factor in our success."

Stafford was only 20 of 43 yards for 213 yards, and his four interceptions were one fewer than he had earlier this season. He was listed as doubtful for the game because of his shoulder injury, but his decision-making seemed to be more of a problem than his health.

"I don't think [the injured shoulder] was a factor at all," Stafford said.

Johnson, who was questionable with hand and knee injuries, only had a 9-yard catch to go with his 1-yard score. - Gambling Online

In Detroit's last game, Stafford broke an NFL rookie record with 422 yards passing, became the youngest player to throw five TD passes in a game and drew praise for playing with a dislocated, non-throwing shoulder on the final untimed play.

"I told him after the game, 'Around the league, we respect a guy who will come in hurt,'" Woodson said.

Detroit rookie TE Brandon Pettigrew, a first-round pick, hurt his left knee on the first drive and did not return. .. Green Bay OT Chad Clifton (hamstring) and Jordy Nelson (shoulder) were injured during the game. ... Stafford joined Dan Marino, Dave Krieg and Vince Ferragamo as the four QBs who have thrown four INTs a game after throwing at least five TDs since 1970, according to STATS, LLC. ... The Lions are 33-35-2 on Thanksgiving. Sports Gambling

Thanksgiving Day NFL Previews: NFL 2009 Previews & Picks

The Annual Turkey Day trio of NFL games that kicks off the Week 12 card is setup to help the sports betting community ease into the action, starting with a NFC North divisional game between the Green Bay Packers (6-4) and Detroit Lions (2-8). Online sportsbook have listed the Packers (-10.5) as a double-digit favorite and the Over/Under is set at 47.

If it’s beginning to feel like a tradition for Thanksgiving’s first game of the day to seem a little meaningless, as far as playing a part in shaping the playoff picture, it’s because the Lions have only come into this game with a winning record once in the past nine years.

Detroit did excite fans at Ford Field last Sunday with a 38-37 come from behind victory against the Cleveland Browns but QB Matt Stafford was injured on the game’s final drive and has been all but ruled out of this contest vs. Green Bay. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said Stafford is in incredible pain and that Daunte Culpepper is going to be the starter.

The Packers lead this series 87-64-7 all-time and even when provided with a generous line from oddsmakers the Lions are 0-4 ATS in 2009 against divisional opponents.

Oakland Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys

Midday action pits the Oakland Raiders (3-7) against the Dallas Cowboys (7-3) and while this game is viewed by many as a token trip to Jerry Land for a Raiders team that has set records for futility, the underdog has been the one getting the Online betting action in this one so far. Online sportsbook SPORTSBETTING.com reported that over 60% of the volume at -14 was on the Raiders. Since the line move to -13.5, the wagering activity has balanced off on both teams.

Originally sets as a two-TD favorite, Dallas has been bought off the key number down to -13.5 points at sportsbooks. After a Week 2 loss to the New York Giants the Cowboys played three games on home turf, posting a perfect 3-0 ATS record. When the Washington Redskins paid a visit in Week 11 the betting trends were on the road team and the Skins nearly won the game straight-up.

Dallas does not seem content to rest on the laurels of its one-point victory and during its three-game win streak at home the Cowboys did cover the spread by an average of more than 11 points per game. Oakland has gained confidence under the leadership of newly named starting QB Bruce Gradkowski and is playing off a 20-17 upset win over Cincinnati.

It’s the third time the Raiders have surprised an opponent this year, getting a straight up win. However, it is worth noting that after their first two wins they have not performed well in their next start, going 0-2 straight and up and against the spread and it wasn’t even close, as the Raiders were beaten by 20 and 38 points.

NY Giants at Denver:

The New York Giants (6-4) are in Denver (6-4) for the nightcap and just four days after ending a losing streak that lasted 42 days, the G-Men are laying points on the road. Lines opened at Giants -5 but New York seems like the consensus best bet as they have been bet as high as -7 at several betting outlets.

New York has scored an average of 26.6 points per game this year compared to the Broncos average of just 17, but the Giants also allow more than five points per game more than Denver on the defensive side of the ball. - Betting Online

Favs and dogs have split the first two Thursday night matchups this season and both games have stayed under the posted total. That’s a sharp contrast to 2008 when Thursday night primetime games produced six overs to just one under. The total in Denver is 42.

Enjoy all the Thanksgiving Day NFL action.

NFL Underdogs – Strength in Numbers – NFL Live Streaming

Making money with NFL betting means sometimes risking money on teams who appear to be “down on their luck” and the odds are stacked against them. This week in the NFL, Week 11, it looks like there will be at least six home underdogs, potentially seven, depending what number your online sportsbook puts up for San Diego at Denver…so there are plenty of opportunities to be a “dog” bettor this Sunday.

While overall, the numbers when betting home dogs this year show a subpar 20-24 ATS (against the spread) record, stats from the past seven weeks alone can be looked at in a different light. In Week 7, road favorites went 7-0 straight up and ATS, but from Week’s 4 through 10 (not including the seven wins from Week 7), road favorites were just 11-11 straight-up, covering the spread only seven out of 22 times.

Three-way tie for 2009 Delta River title

Pleasant Grove High School needed a win last Saturday at Jesuit’s Loyola Field to claim a share of the 2009 Delta River League title for a third consecutive season.

They did win, thus splitting the honor with Folsom and Monterey Trail, but it wasn’t easy. Pleasant Grove had to overcome injuries and an inspired Jesuit defense for a 21-14 win.

Pleasant Grove grabbed its third straight DRL championship in the process, but it took a Mark Jenkins six-yard run with only 1:03 left in the game to clinch the win.

“He’s our JV running back and he’s a good one,” Pleasant Grove head coach Joe Cattolico said. “We ran out of healthy varsity running backs.

“That’s been the story of our football betting program,” he continued. “We’ve had so many injuries we’ve lost lots of kids. There’s been several sophomores off our JV team step up and do a great job. We’ve been plucking kids off our JV team all season and they’ve played some critical roles for us.”

Jenkins responded to his first and only varsity start with 220 yards on 34 carries and three touchdowns.

Now, Jenkins may be the man called upon to run the ball at tailback Friday when the Eagles open the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs against Franklin, the Delta Valley Conference’s second-place team.

All-purpose back Jalen Saunders was held out of action in the first half because of a deep thigh bruise. Cattolico was forced to use Saunders on some offensive plays in the second half because of the close score.

“We tried to hold him out of the game, but the situation didn’t allow us to do that,” Cattolico said.

Quarterback
Taylor Congdon, who was held out of the second half of the Folsom game the week prior due to injury, did play Saturday. He threw for 117 yards.

But, out of the playoffs and playing in its final regular season game
, Jesuit played inspired football, especially on defense. Safety Brian Celsi led the Marauders with 11 tackles, while defensive lineman Joshua Hines added nine tackles and a diving interception of a Congdon pass in the third quarter.

Pleasant Grove scored on its opening possession of the game with Jenkins capping an eight-play, 65-yard drive with a three-yard run. The Eagles tacked on a 71-yard drive in six plays midway through the second quarter. Jenkins scored his second touchdown from three yards out.

Trailing 14-7 at the half, Jesuit drove 80 yards in 15 plays and consumed 6:30 off the clock to tie the game on Jackson Welch’s four-yard run.

On the Eagles’ next drive, Hines’ interception gave Jesuit the ball back at its 27. But, Pleasant Grove’s defense tightened and forced the Marauders to punt after cornerback Zan Bell came up with a key deflection of a Nicolas Norris pass.

Defensively, Jonathan Bias led Pleasant Grove with 12 tackles and also had a fumble recovery with only 33 seconds left in the game to preserve the Eagle win.

Devin Young added nine tackles and a half sack. Safety Kyle Castro had seven tackles.

In total, four of the six DRL teams qualified for the postseason. Because of its enrollment numbers, Folsom will compete in Division II. The Bulldogs got a fourth seed with its 9-1 record but is in the same division with Grant, Del Oro, Rocklin and St. Mary’s, the defending Division I section champion.

Grant is the defending state champion - Betting Guide

“Because of the quality of our league, Jesuit’s record is misleading,” Cattolico said. “They are a better football team
than many clubs in other leagues with better records.”

Pleasant Grove, the reigning Division I runner-up, earned the seventh seed and will host No. 10 Franklin.

Monterey Trail was seeded fourth in Division I and will host Pitman on Friday night. Sheldon, which got an 11th seed, will travel to Oak Ridge.

Football Betting: High Stakes Game of World Cup

The winds of change that threatened to blow through European football are giving way to sighs of relief. The money men who feared that superstars such as Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo would be replaced by unknown names from some of Europe's less fashionable football nations at next summer's World Cup are breathing easier.

Barring an unlikely upset in tonight's qualification playoffs, France and Portugal will build on Saturday's first-leg victories and secure their passage to South Africa at the expense—quite literally—of the Republic of Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Elsewhere, Ukraine and Greece remain deadlocked, while Slovenia must overturn a deficit if they are to edge past Russia and earn a share of the riches on offer at sport's most lucrative event.

The stakes could scarcely be higher. FIFA, the sport's governing body, estimates that if the viewers of every match of the World Cup tournament are added up, the cumulative global audience would exceed 20 billion. In addition, television rights for the tournament are worth $1.26 billion in Europe alone. Even the feel-good factor from reaching the tournament could be worth more than £1 billion ($1.68 billion) to participating nations.

Before the 2006 tournament, the U.K.-based Centre for Economics and Business Research calculated the rise in consumer spending during the competition and estimated the French economy stood to benefit to the tune of £1.2 billion.

Even for those nations where the spending increase is less pronounced, Simon Chadwick, a professor of sports-business strategy and marketing at the U.K's Coventry University, predicts a sound macroeconomic boost for the countries.

"There will be a ripple-out effect from the tournament into areas that are directly related, such as sports betting; Football betting and magazine publishing, but even further to electronics retailers and manufacturers, for example, because people tend to buy more televisions around these tournaments, too," he says.

While such figures are invariably abstract, the rewards for those directly involved are more tangible. For the players celebrating victory tonight, reaching the finals can enhance both on- and off-field earnings. "The players stand to gain both in terms of revenue, because they get paid for playing there, but also in terms of profile," says Henry Chappell, chief executive of London-based sports-public-relations specialists Pitch, whose clients include English Premier League club Chelsea. "There are many examples of players where the World Cup has taken them to a new level in terms of the deals they can broker with commercial partners."
Even for players who don't light up the tournament, the exposure can have a positive impact on their club careers, according to Jeff Slack, senior vice-president of global business development at the London office of sports agency IMG Global.

"If you're a kid from Ghana who hasn't played in the English Premier League, but you're in the national team and have a good World Cup, that will absolutely increase your potential to move to a bigger club and have a bigger salary," he says.

National federations may also translate a World Cup appearance into bigger sponsorship or team-jersey deals, while qualification is worth about £4.5 million in prize money per team.
Yet for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia and Ireland, those riches may remain tantalizingly out of reach.

FIFA's decision to seed the playoffs just a month before the end of the European qualifying campaign ensured France and Portugal couldn't be drawn to face each other, limiting the chance for one of the continent's lesser lights to advance.

The established order fulfilled their part by winning Saturday's first legs, lending weight to the notion that those with the most to gain from tonight's matches are the tournament's sponsors, partners, and ultimately FIFA itself.

"FIFA needs Brazil, Argentina and arguably Portugal, because it strengthens the core product," says Mr. Chadwick. "It's good for negotiations with commercial partners, with broadcasters and with sponsors, and in the battle for market territory, it's important that the best constituent parts of your product are available to you."

NFL Week 11 Picks, 2009 NFL Week 11 Odds

NFL Week 11 Power Rankings:Week 10 had some great games across the board with Sunday Night Football as the game of the week.  The Colts vs. Patriots lived up to and exceeded expectations.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning threw for over 700 yards and seven touchdowns.  However Patriot’s coach Bill Belicheck’s decision to go for it on 4th and 2 from his own 28 yard line with two minutes to go with a six point lead will be the most talked about topic at water coolers around the country.

I understand Peyton Manning is one of the best in football in the final two minutes but how do you not punt in that situation?  Even with a bad punt, the Colts probably have to go at least 60 yards.  Instead, the Colts have just 28 yards to go and easily win the game.  The Colts won the game and remain ahead of the Pats in the rankings, but don’t be fooled; The Patriots are back and clicking on all cylinders on offense.

NFL Power Rankings Week 11, 2009 - Titans are on Top

When we observe the last week power rankings to this week power rankings, there is not much difference since last week's Power Rankings. In the new power rankings list, the Titans topped the list, followed by the Giants.

Sportsbook - However, the Steelers' loss to the Colts shakes things up a bit, so here's this weeks top 10 and bottom 5.

Bud Adams Gives the Finger at Game, Fined $250,000

Internet Betting - Tenessee Titans owner Bud Adams gave the finger to Buffalo fans at a game on Monday. For his actions, the N.F.L. is fining him no less than $250,000 for his crude gesture. Apparently the N.F.L. does not take showing the middle finger lightly, especially when it comes from Bud Adams.

Bud Adams has since apologized and said, "I do realize that those types of things shouldn't happen". The youtube video below shows him making the gesture.

Soccer betting probe nets another official

POLICE in eastern China have detained a football club manager in a nationwide crackdown on soccer betting that has involved several executives and officials from the football association.

The man, identified by police only as L, was detained yesterday, one year after he left Hai Li Feng soccer club in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Other club officials are also under investigation, according to Modern Express today.

Hai Li Feng came under the spotlight after a notorious match with a Sichuan team when the club's players attempted several times to score their own goals.

Police said, however, that they are not investigating that match but are focusing on an alleged gambling syndicate that operated in 2005 and 2006, said an anonymous insider quoted by the newspaper.

The insider said Hai Li Feng was considered the top team at the beginning of every season in China's Premier League, yet their performances collapse at the second half in every match.

China Football Association said any clubs involved in any forms of gambling will be relegated, China News Service reported today.

Live Coverage: Ind Vs SL, 1st Test, Ahmedabad

Ind: 385/6 (90 Ovs)
Day 1: Post Tea Session

India vs Srilanka live streaming, India Sri Lanka first test match and schedule. Ahmadabad, November 16: Indian batsmen seem to have not come out of the One Day International mode. The way they batted against Sri Lanka today in the first few over of the first test looked like they were playing the eighth one day international match against Australia.
Rackmultipart
Update: Dravid completes his century. His 100 came after 158 balls, 14 fours and one six.

Update: Dhoni and Dravid give stability to Indian batting. Dravid is playing at 138 and Dhoni at 83. India are well placed with 316 runs after 74 overs with the loss of five wickets

Update: Yuvraj goes after scoring a qickfire 68 runs off 93 balls.

Mighty Indian batting line up had lost as many as four wickets to the Sri Lankan newcomers for just 32 runs. Laxman, Tendulkar, Gambhir and Sehwag they all went very cheaply.

Gambhir who played ten balls was beautifully bowled out by a neophyte by any standard Welegedara.

Twenty eight year old Welegedara is playing only his second test match in the absence of two top bowlers from Sri Lanka.

On the very first day against Indians in Ahmadabad, he has already scalped three valuable wickets. Sri Lankan selectors would be happy by his outstanding performance that put the hosts under tremendous pressure.

Besides Welegedara another man is determined to make his mark again. Rahul Dravid is playing great cricket today. He seems in an attacking mood and has taken the initiative not just from Sri Lankans but has also put considerable pressure on Sri Lankan bowlers.

Dravid has already scored 59 runs on merely 86 balls. His inning includes 7 fours and a massive six.

The ease with which he is batting today suggests that other Indian batsmen simply threw away their wickets.

Yuvraj Singh is also playing with great ease. He has also scored 45 runs off only 74 balls. His inning includes eight fours.

Atlast Dhoni innings came to an end when he was at 110(159).

Belichick gamble fails; Colts beat Pats

A stunning gamble by Bill Belichick set up a stunning win for Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.

After the New England Patriots were stopped short on fourth down deep in their own territory, Manning took advantage by throwing a 1-yard touchdown pass with 13 seconds left that rallied the unbeaten Colts to a 35-34 win Sunday night.

Manning's toss to Reggie Wayne completed the Colts' comeback from a 17-point deficit. A decision by the Patriots coach put them in position for their 18th straight regular-season win.

Sports Gambling - Belichick decided to go for it on fourth-and-2 from their own 28 with 2:08 to go. Tom Brady threw to Kevin Faulk, who made a juggling catch but was pushed backward and came up just short.

Manning needed just four plays before hooking up with Wayne for the winning score.

"We were preparing to go 60, 70 yards," Manning said. "It was a great play by the defense, shortened our field."

It was the most improbable victory for the Colts (9-0) in their winning streak, tied for the second-longest in NFL history with New England. It was the first time Belichick's Patriots had lost when leading by at least 13 in the fourth quarter.

Belichick had a dazed look as he ran across the field for a lightning-quick, postgame handshake with Indianapolis coach Jim Caldwell. - Gambling Online

The Colts trailed 34-21 with four minutes left and seemed all but written off - just as they have in several other prime-time games this decade.

Manning threw four touchdown passes and Brady had three in the matchup of AFC division leaders, and longtime rivals for the conference title.

While it was another magical comeback for Manning, this one was set up by Belichick's play-calling.

Belichick called two timeouts on that key series, the second to set up the fourth-down play. Faulk came up about a half-yard short of the first-down marker, giving Manning the ball at the New England 29 with 1:57 left and all three timeouts - an eternity for the three-time MVP.

Manning ran three plays before finding Wayne for the winning score and left New England with virtually no chance to rally.

New England (6-3) has now lost five of the last six in this series.

This wasn't the first time this season that Belichick gambled. In late September against Atlanta, he went for it on fourth-and-1 on his own 24 with the Patriots up by six midway through the third quarter. New England made it, and wound up winning 26-10.

Manning passed Fran Tarkenton on the career victory list with No. 126, a win that Manning certainly will remember for a long time and many reasons.

"Well, it's a great win. It's just one win. We're still in the regular season. It tells us about our team. As much adversity as we've faced in a couple years," Manning said. "Defense finally made some stops. Offense finally got some touchdowns."

Belichick's decision dampened a strong performance from Brady and the Patriots offense.

Brady was 29 of 42 for 375 yards with one interception against a young, depleted Colts secondary. Randy Moss finished with nine catches for a season-high 179 yards and two TDs, while Wes Welker had nine receptions for 94 yards.

It wasn't quite enough.

Manning was 28 of 44 for 327 yards with two interceptions. Wayne caught 10 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

In what will go down as another classic in this rivalry, Brady was more efficient early, Manning took over at the end.

After trading jabs in the first quarter, Brady took control in the second. He led the Pats to a tiebreaking field goal, hooked up with Moss on a 63-yard TD pass that floated perfectly over the hands of safety Antoine Bethea and then threw a 9-yard TD pass to Julian Edelman to give New England a 24-7 lead with 7:19 left in the half.

That was more points than Indy had allowed in any game this season.

Manning refused to be outdone.

He answered with a 20-yard TD pass to Wayne to make it 24-14 at the half and after Brady connected with Moss for a 5-yard TD early in the fourth, Manning delivered.

He took the Colts 79 yards in five plays, finding Pierre Garcon for a 29-yard score to get within 10. After Stephen Gostkowski booted a 36-yard field goal, Manning gave the ball to Joseph Addai for a 4-yard TD run with 2:23 to go. That made it 34-28.

Indy then elected to kick the ball deep instead of trying an onside kick, prompting Belichick to make his unusual decision and giving Manning a chance to win it, which he did.

Motown halftime show to highlight Thanksgiving Day festivities

Betting Online Games - NFL fans will be dancing in their seats at home and at Ford Field in Detroit during the 2009 United Way Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show: A Motown 50th Anniversary Tribute. The Motown tribute will take place during halftime of the first game of the NFL's Thanksgiving tripleheader when the Detroit Lions host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, November 26 at 12:30 PM ET on FOX.

This special halftime event features six of the brightest talents from the current roster of Universal Motown Records performing classics from Motown's All-American songbook.

Bringing the unforgettable songs of Motown back to the Motor City are: Melanie Fiona, who brings together vintage grooves in her debut album; KEM, a leader in the neo-soul movement with two gold-plus albums and two No. 1 singles; international Top 10 hit singer/songwriter Shontelle; and the alternative rock/electronic six-man band Forever the Sickest Kids. The halftime show also features two newcomers: Vita Chambers, who honors Motown's classic era with a mix of rock, pop, and soul, and Hal Linton, who updates the great vocal tradition of Motown's Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder for the new century.

The halftime show set list will be taken from the golden era of Motown, the company founded by Berry Gordy that revolutionized contemporary music in the late Fifties through Seventies with its influential fusion of pop, blues, R&B, rock and gospel elements.

In addition, singer-songwriter Jadyn Maria will kick off the game in Detroit with the National Anthem. She also is a member of the Universal Motown family and was the first artist signed to Grammy-winner Ne-Yo's Compound Entertainment label.

Following the halftime performance, fans can visit NFL.com/Thanksgiving to find out how to download a copy of the halftime medley as well as music from each of the artists. Proceeds will benefit United Way.

Melanie Fiona, Kem, Hal Linton, Shontelle and Vita Chambers also will join United Way to volunteer at the Detroit Boys & Girls Club's "I Am Thankful" Dinner on Tuesday, November 24 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. CT.

Continuing an innovation introduced in 2006, the NFL will serve up three nationally-televised games on Thanksgiving Day.

The early game (FOX, 12:30 p.m. ET) will be an NFC North meeting of the Packers at the Lions. This is the 19th time the Lions have hosted the Packers on Thanksgiving, including 13 consecutive games from 1951-1963. The second game (CBS, 4:15 p.m. ET) features the Oakland Raiders visiting the Dallas Cowboys in the Raiders' first Thanksgiving game since 1970.

The Thanksgiving primetime game will be at 8:20 p.m. ET on NFL Network with the defending NFC East champion New York Giants visiting the Denver Broncos, marking the first Thanksgiving contest in Denver since 1963. - Sports book Online

The late afternoon game in Dallas between the Oakland Raiders and Cowboys on CBS will also feature special national anthem and halftime show performances by national artists who will be announced shortly.

Now in its 36th year, the United Way/NFL partnership is the longest running charitable collaboration of its kind and connects NFL Play 60 with United Way's goal of 1.9 million more healthy young people by 2018.

This is the 11th year that United Way has worked with the NFL on the Thanksgiving Halftime Show to inspire NFL fans across the country to get involved in their communities.

Bears Woes Extend Beyond The Red Zone

Internet Betting - Only seven months ago Bears fans were announcing their return to the Super Bowl with their newly-acquired quarterback Jay Cutler. Despite the apparent step-up from Kyle Orton, the celebration seemed premature to everyone outside of Chicago due to the Bears lack of a number one wide receiver.

Now nine games into the season, the wide receiver position is only the beginning of the team's problems. With every play, Cutler's career appears to be on the brink of extinction with the offensive line providing almost no protection. Cutler seems to get touched on nearly every play having been sacked, hurried and knocked down more times than I can count.
Ron Turner doesn't use Cutler effectively. There's no creativity in the play calling, some calls are just plain dumb, and Cutler's stuck in the pocket, which collapses repeatedly.

The Bears rank 28th in rushing as Matt Forte fails to live up to expectations following a stellar rookie season in 2008. Thursday night's game proved to be one of his better this season. However, he excelled in the air with 8 receptions for 120 years while the running game was once again dismal with only 41 yards on 20 carries.

The Bears defense has been so plagued by injuries and stupid mistakes (yeah, that means you Tommie Harris), that they can't be relied upon to carry the team as in years past. Although they miraculously found a way to keep Chicago in the game, giving the offense a chance to win on the final drive.

But the blame can't fall solely on the supporting cast. Confidence in a quarterback is essential, but he tries to make plays that aren't there. Granted three of tonight's five interceptions against the 49er's were not his fault. Devin Hester slipped and fell, the referee got in the way on another, and a possible interference went uncalled against San Francisco safety Mark Roman. - Sportsbook

The other two interceptions occurred where they count the most as the red zone proves to be a dangerous area for Cutler who has thrown five interceptions inside the 20 this season.

The only real bright spot on the team is third-year tight end Greg Olsen who raked in three touchdowns in a lopsided loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week. Olsen leads the team in touchdowns with six, and is fourth in receiving yards.

And for reasons unknown to any sane person, Turner sat Olsen on a pivotal play in the first half. On third and 1 offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer was made eligible in an effort to trick the 49er's. But the only person tricked by this play was Cutler who was led to believe that San Francisco's Aubrayo Franklin had switched teams as he threw the ball straight into the defensive tackle's hands.

Cutler has the ability to lead this team, but he needs help. The Bears should already be thinking about how they can build around him in the off-season. Of course, they could have tried to get Cutler some help in the 2010 draft, but they gave that first round pick to Denver back in April.

49ers Beat Bears 10-6, End 4-gme Skid

Betting Line - Francisco’s defenders figure the short week worked to their advantage: Jay Cutler(notes) couldn’t change much in four days, and the 49ers knew what to expect from Chicago’s quarterback.

San Francisco coach Mike Singletary didn’t exactly hand it to his old team. Instead, Cutler handed the desperate 49ers a much-needed win.

Frank Gore(notes) ran for 104 yards and a touchdown, Cutler threw a career-high five interceptions with his last coming in the end zone on the game’s final play and San Francisco snapped a four-game losing streak with a 10-6 victory Thursday night.

“I wouldn’t say he was trying to force the issue,” 49ers safety Mark Roman(notes) said of Cutler. “He was trying to make plays at a time when they needed a play to be made. We knew the ball was going to be in the air and we knew if we would be sound in our coverages we’d have opportunities.”

Niners quarterback Alex Smith won for the first time in eight starts since Week 2 in 2007, 17-16 against St. Louis—but it was interesting until the end.

After Singletary elected to punt against his former team on fourth-and-6 from the Chicago 34 with 2:53 left, Cutler drove the Bears to the San Francisco 12 with 13 seconds remaining. After an incompletion on first down, Michael Lewis picked off Cutler’s next attempt in the end zone as time expired. That sealed San Francisco’s first win since a 35-0 rout of the Rams back on Oct. 4.

Cutler showed up for his postgame news conference still dressed in his uniform, minus his pads and jersey.

“It was tough. I have to apologize to the defense,” he said. “I think the offense as a whole has to apologize. They played a great game and kept us in there even through all the turnovers.”

The game was far from a pretty display by two struggling teams still hoping to make the playoffs.

Four days after the 49ers (4-5) committed four turnovers that led to 24 points in a 34-27 loss to Tennessee, they were penalized nine times and Smith threw an interception and was sacked twice.

Cutler took chances away all game from Chicago (4-5), which had 10 penalties and lost its second straight and fourth in five. Patrick Willis(notes) wreaked havoc on the Bears with 11 tackles.

“It’s nice to be on the other sideline of that, that’s for sure,” Smith said.

Betting Lines - The five interceptions by Cutler are tied for the most by a Bear since Zeke Bratkowski threw seven in a 42-7 loss to Baltimore on Oct. 2, 1960.

Cutler threw four or more interceptions for the second time this season and has an NFL-worst 17 in all. He became the first Bear since Billy Wade in 1962 to have two four-interception games in a season.

“I’ve played Thursday games before and been successful,” Cutler said. “It didn’t affect us. We saw everything coming. They didn’t have any surprises for us. We just didn’t execute.”

The Bears got field goals of 50 and 38 yards from Robbie Gould(notes) in a game that quickly became about who could keep possession of the ball and make the fewest mistakes.
“We did just enough on the offense to win the game,” Singletary said.

It marked the first time Singletary faced his former team as a head coach. The Hall of Fame linebacker spent all 12 of his NFL seasons with the Bears, capturing two Defensive Player of the Year awards, being selected to 10 Pro Bowls and winning the Super Bowl following 1985 season.

Singletary wanted little to do with the hype of him facing the Bears, insisting he couldn’t think about anything but coaching the 49ers to victory to save the season.

“They’re just another team on the schedule,” Singletary said afterward.

San Francisco won its seventh straight home game against the Bears, including one in the playoffs. Chicago’s last victory at Candlestick Park came during the Bears’ ’85 Super Bowl season with Singletary leading the defense. The Bears had won the last three in the series.

Gore ran for a 14-yard touchdown run one play after Cutler’s second interception late in the second quarter as the Niners took a 7-3 halftime lead.

“Everybody has a bad day at work, that’s just it,” Bears defensive end Alex Brown(notes) said of Cutler. “We have to be there to have his back and we do.”

Joe Nedney(notes) added a 21-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter after missing a 39-yarder wide right on San Francisco’s opening drive—his first miss of the season from inside 40 yards.

Neither quarterback had impressive numbers. Smith was 16 of 23 for 118 yards and Cutler 29 of 52 for 307. Chicago outgained San Francisco 350-216.

Niners tight end Vernon Davis(notes) fired up the Bears with his trash talk Tuesday, saying: “I think we can destroy their front.” Davis and Bears defensive lineman Adewale Ogunleye(notes) got into a pregame jawing session and some of the Chicago captains intentionally avoided shaking Davis’ hand before the coin toss.

Davis dealt out his own punishment when he bowled over Bears linebacker Nick Roach(notes), sending him to the sideline briefly on his only catch of the half. Davis committed two false start penalties.

“It was a big relief,” Davis said. “It’s truly a blessing to be able to get this. We just have to keep winning.”

San Francisco punted with 2:53 left to give the Bears a final chance.

Ireland v France: Match Preview

Republic of Ireland
Fifa ranking: 34
Manager: Giovanni Trapattoni (Italy, 70)
World Cup finals: 1990 (quarter-final), 1994 (2nd round), 2002 (2nd round)
Star player: Robbie Keane.
Chances: Trapatonni has performed wonders to get Ireland this far but the draw has been cruel. Ireland were unbeaten in the qualifiers but scored only 12 goals – Italy, Bulgaria and even Cyprus scored more.
Losing Liam Miller and Shane Long will not help their cause, but a two goal lead in Dublin may be necessary.
France
Fifa ranking: 9
Manager: Raymond Domenech (France, 57)
World Cup finals: 1930 (1st round), 1934 (1st round), 1938 (quarter-final), 1954 (1st round), 1958 (3rd), 1966 (1st round), 1978 (1st round), 1982 (4th), 1998 (winners), 2002 (1st round), 2006 (beaten finalists)
Star player: Nicolas Anelka.
Chances: Domenech is not popular in France and failure against the Irish will end his reign. Missing the injured Arsenal defender Gaël Clichy and Bayern Bunich midfielder Franck Ribery will not help his cause.
The feeling in France is that Domenech has failed to take advantage of world class players.

Browns Going With Brady Quinn?

Betting Online Games - The current Cleveland Browns are big underdogs for their Monday Night game against the ex-Cleveland Browns (the Baltimore Ravens), currently listed at +11.

The Browns are expected to announce a starting QB later today and citing sources, ESPN is reporting that Brady Quinn will line up behind center.

Cleveland has its work cut out for it as Baltimore has been a machine when favored by more than 8-points, going 19-2 straight up and 14-6 against the spread.

Monday night’s Total is set at 39.5.

I have lost command over the team: Younus

Younus Khan, who stood down as Pakistan captain yesterday, said that he took the decision after he felt that he had no command over his teammates.

"I met the chairman today and told him I needed to rest," Younus told a leading cricket website. "I told him I feel as If I have no command over this team. And if a leadership has no command over its players, what is the point of continuing to lead? I also told him that the last 3-4 months have been very trying times for me, not just with the cricket but all that has happened outside it. I need time to get myself together now."

It has been learnt that at least eight or nine players in the Pakistan team, were unhappy with Younus and they voiced their concerns to PCB chief Ejaz Butt after the Champions Trophy.

Younus, that time also, quit captaincy but PCB officials did not accept his resignation and asked him to continue as captain. - Gambling Online

India-Australia 7th ODI delayed due to rain

Betting Online - The seventh and final One Day International between India and Australia was delayed due to persistent rains in Mumbai on Wednesday.

With heavy rains showing no signs of relenting, the match is unlikely to go ahead.

The final decision is expected at 5 p.m. IST, which is the cut-off time. Both the teams have been instructed to stay inside the hotel.

The square and the surrounding areas have been put under cover and the wet field is soggy.

If the match is abandoned, Australia will win the series 4-2 after coming back strongly from a 1-2 deficit and went on to win three consecutive matches to pocket the series.

The unrelenting rains have been lashing Mumbai from Tuesday night and converted the D Y Patil stadium, the venue of the match, into a water pool.

The Indian morale hit a low following successive losses at Mohali, Hyderabad and Guwahati against what is essentially a very inexperienced Australian bowling line-up.

A victory in Mumbai could have be the ideal tonic for India before they lock horns with Sri Lanka in the longest format of the game from November 16 in Ahmedabad, but that would be possible only if weather gods do not play spoilsport.

The rains, which started just past noon on Tuesday, did not allow the Indian team to practice while the Australian team managed to do theirs in the morning.

The main reason for India's slump against an injury-ravaged Australia is lack of consistency in both batting and bowling. - Sports Gambling

While the Indian top order has fired only in fits and starts, with the blazing hundreds from skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, who also completed 17,000 ODI runs in the process, being the shining beacons, the bowling too has not performed in total.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 ODI Schedule(Timetable)- Logo- Host: Inidia, Srilanka & Bangladesh

Betting Odds - Bangladesh will host India in the first match of the 2011 World Cup, the International Cricket Council have announced.
India, set to stage 29 of the 49 matches across eight venues including a quarter-final, a semi-final and the final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, will tra-vel across the border for their first match on February 19.

Sri Lanka, the other co-hosts, will stage 12 matches – including a quarter-final and a semi-final – while Bangladesh will host the opening ceremony on February 17 and the remainder of the matches, including two quarter-finals.
The 2011 tournament will be a week shorter than the 2007 tournament in the Caribbean.
Sri Lanka will unveil two venues during the course of the tournament – Hambantota and Pallekele – and will take on Canada in their first match at Hambantota on February 20.

Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara is of the opinion that the two new venues would boost cricket in Sri Lanka. - Gambling Online

“Everybody in Sri Lanka is excited about the new venues,” he said.

“Pallekele [situated in the hill country of the Central Province] is just outside Kandy, and Hambantota is situated close to a beach.”
Pakistan, stripped of hosting rights over security concerns, will play their group matches in Sri Lanka and travel to India only if they reach the knockout rounds.

Pakistan v New Zealand - New Zealand win despite Aamer heroics

Sports Gambling  - The Jekyll and Hyde that is Pakistan cricket displayed both its faces in the series decider against New Zealand. Pakistan needed only 212 to clinch a 2-1 series victory on a placid pitch but their batting combusted in typically dramatic fashion. When all hope was lost, though, there was more drama as Mohammad Aamer scripted a phenomenal comeback with Saeed Ajmal. It was New Zealand, however, who held their nerve to win the decider in the desert.

When Aamer came to bat at No. 10, Pakistan needed 126 runs from 26.5 overs with only two wickets in hand, and people were emptying the Sheikh Zayed stadium thinking the game was over. But what is Pakistan cricket without its twists and turns? And what is New Zealand cricket without a struggle to finish games? Aamer and Ajmal threw their bats around, played conventional and unorthodox shots, and added 103, the second highest last-wicket stand in ODIs. It went to the last over, bowled by Jacob Oram, with Pakistan needing eight runs to win, but Ajmal top-edged the first ball and was caught by Kyle Mills at short fine leg.
Aamer initially appeared as though he was having a lark - a tailender indulging himself in a lost cause. Even when he hit Daniel Vettori for three slog-swept sixes in an over, it seemed a matter of time before the last wicket fell. However, Aamer persevered, cutting and driving Mills in particular, and the game hurtled towards a thrilling finale. The pressure, however, kicked in only when they got close to the target and Ajmal succumbed with Aamer stranded on 73, the highest score by a No. 10 batsman in ODIs.

What Aamer's effort also did, though, was highlight the failure of his more capable team-mates. Pakistan crashed and burned from 47 for 0 to 101 for 9 with batsmen playing rash shots that betrayed a nervous and muddled mindset. No one took ownership of the chase and New Zealand kept gaining ground with disciplined bowling. - Sportsbook

Pakistan's openers were cruising when Vettori introduced himself in the eighth over. He trapped Khalid Latif lbw with an arm-ball to create a small window of opportunity, which was soon flung open. Younis Khan, Pakistan's captain who is waging an increasingly difficult battle to hold his place in the ODI team, struggled for fluency and the mounting pressure led to him running out a settled Salman Butt. It was the beginning of the end.

Younis perished next ball, stabbing a bouncing delivery from Shane Bond to first slip and exposed an edgy middle order, which lacked the cool head of Mohammad Yousuf, who had been dropped for Umar Akmal. The line-up was full of attacking batsmen but, as they showed in the last game, they were likely to collapse under pressure. Only Shoaib Malik had the temperament to fight but he was guilty of playing the worst shot of all. Pakistan were wobbling at 74 for 3 when Kyle Mills bowled a few short balls at Malik, who ducked out of the way. Suddenly, in a moment of madness, he fetched a short delivery from well outside off and hit it straight to deep midwicket. Pakistan had started its freefall.

Umar Akmal edged an intended cut and Shahid Afridi ran Malik close with a poor shot of his own but it's not much of a surprise when Afridi implodes. He tried to break free by heaving Jacob Oram down the ground but only succeeded in nicking to Brendon McCullum. Pakistan's last hope was Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq but both failed. Kamran was guilty of playing an overambitious shot as he tried to pull a delivery from Tim Southee which wasn't short and top-edged to mid-on. Razzaq made a mad dash for a non-existent single: Umar Gul had pushed to the left of Vettori at mid-off and took one step out, but Razzaq charged too far down the track and couldn't get back in time. Pakistan's misery was almost complete but Aamer's heroic half-century gave fans something to take from the game.

New Zealand also had their share of batting wobbles. They were in a great position at 138 for 2 in 27th over, after choosing to bat, but they collapsed to be bowled out for 211. McCullum, who hit a superbly-paced 76, fell to a tame dismissal, caught and bowled by Shoaib Malik. Younis then proceeded to suffocate them with his spinners.

From the 18th over to the 45th, New Zealand faced only two overs of seam bowling, gradually succumbing to the slow men. Ajmal confused them with his doosras, Afridi taunted with his sliders and googlies, and Malik tested with his offbreaks. Most batsmen pushed and prodded with nervous uncertainty, unsure about the destination of the spinning deliveries and one felt that a wicket was always around the corner. New Zealand, however, scraped to 211 before they were dismissed in the 47th over. It proved to be just enough.

India v Australia: 6th ODI, Guwahati:Bollinger and Johnson seal series

Gambling Online - All odds seemed against them - four key players were missing before the trip and they lost four more during the series - but Australia showed admirable spirit and skill to clinch the series with a game to spare. On a slightly damp pitch in Guwahati, Mitchell Johnson found his mojo and combined with Doug Bollinger to bundle out India for 170 before Shane Watson gave a solid start to the chase to ensure Australia cantered to a series win.

Bollinger was at the top of his game today on a track conducive to his style and found his mark immediately, nipping out two wickets early and snapping twin dangerous partnerships later en route to 5 for 35. Johnson - back in the side after missing the last game - scythed through the top order to leave India, who chose to bat, tottering at 27 for 5 before Ravindra Jadeja featured in two fighting partnerships. First was a slow repairing job with MS Dhoni, then a violent one with Praveen Kumar to raise hopes of a revival, but Bollinger returned to remove both batsmen to ensure that Australia wouldn't have too many to chase.

Were the conditions so English that the ball was swinging wildly? No. Was the pitch aiding alarming movement? No. There was just a bit of movement, in the air and off the pitch, and Australia exploited it superbly to bundle India out.

Johnson, whose inability to swing the ball into the right-handers had blunted his threat in the recent times, found that inswing today and immediately looked a different bowler. With a slightly round-armish action which helped him to tilt the ball back in, Johnson gnawed away at the batsmen at disconcerting pace.
The start wasn't flattering - his second delivery was whiplashed for six over point by Virender Sehwag - but Johnson bounced back in the same over to start the demolition job. It was a full delivery, Sehwag shaped for his big drive but the ball curved in to thread the gap and splayed the stumps.
Egged on, Johnson went from strength to strength and unfurled his full repertoire: rapid pace, extra bounce, a slinging round-arm, and consistent line and length. He removed Gautam Gambhir with a delivery on middle and off, to which the batsman shaped to work it to the on side as if he expected it to angle in to his pads. But, to his horror, the ball straightened to hit off stump.
Johnson went on to trouble Yuvraj Singh in the corridor before he dismissed Suresh Raina after harassing him with his bounce. The set-up was obvious - bowl a few short balls and push him back before slipping in that fatal full delivery - but Raina fell for it again. Perhaps the ball stopped on him a bit, but he was late in getting forward to a full delivery and ended up flicking it straight to short mid-on.

If Johnson created an opening with his incisive bowling, Bollinger ensured India didn't come back into the game with consistent seam bowling. There is nothing flashy about Bollinger and you know what you will get from him: a steady line and length, changes in pace, and an ability to bowl to his fields. Today it was enough to get him the big wickets of Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj and Dhoni.

Betting Odds - He induced Tendulkar into pushing one straight back to him and bowled Yuvraj with a slightly freaky dismissal. The ball ricocheted off Yuvraj's pad over his right shoulder and as Yuvraj, clueless about where the ball went, turned behind to place the bat back inside the crease he pushed it back to the stumps. Then he returned for a second spell and got Dhoni and Harbhajan in one over, before terminating Jadeja's resistance with the first ball of a third spell.

Dhoni, who was fortunate to survive a caught-behind decision against Bollinger when he was 0, was given out lbw to the same bowler to a delivery that was missing off stump. The final margin would have been far bigger as India were wobbling at 75 for 7 but Jadeja and Praveen, who caned Clint McKay for 28 runs with several audacious hits over mid-off and mid-on, played the best knocks of their respective careers to increase the target. Ultimately, however, they could only save India from total embarrassment.
The chase could have been tricky on a pitch that was increasingly aiding turn but Watson stole the show with positive batting. He stretched forward to the spinners, ensured he kept his pads away from the line and played several skillful shots. There were two fours in particular that stood out, both against Jadeja. They were arm-balls, fizzing towards the top of off, and Watson brought his bat down at the last minute to crunch them past first slip.

Harbhajan created a minor scare by removing both Watson and Ricky Ponting in quick succession but in the absence of a big target and with India possessing only one quality spinner, Mike Hussey and Cameron White slowly but surely pushed Australia to a worthy series win.

India Vs Australia 6th ODI @ Gowahati

Sports Gambling - India vs Australia 6th ODI will be played in Guwahati on Sunday 8th Nov. This will be a very important match for India as team is already behind with 3-2 in the series against Australia. India has not any option other then to win the 6th ODI.

The certain pressure will be their on MS Dhoni and the other team players as this is the important match for them.

Australia is in full confidence as they have got the wins even after many key players are injured. They will also try to cover up the series by 4-2 win. Injured Mitchell Johnson who is still resting from previous match has little chances to come back. Few other players are also facing injuries and Ponting can replace Henriques and Siddle.

Ravinder Jadeja is shown poor performance in running between the wickets in previous match but still due to absence of all rounder he can play the 6th ODI. He has been good in bowling till now. Munaf was not good with the ball in 5th ODI so he can be replaced by Sudeep Tyagi. - Sportsbook

So the first BCS standings of 2009 have been released and to no one’s surprise, the Florida Gators—+125 to win this season’s BCS championship at most online sportsbooks—are Kings of the college football hill followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the two-spot.

Strangely enough though, Florida dropped to No. 2, trumped by ‘Bama in the Associated Press poll but football fans in “The Swamp” probably don’t care, as their team is tops in the more prestigious poll.

Florida’s first game as the top BCS team is on the road against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and it is a big 22.5-point road fave and with a Total of 48.5.

The Gators will be looking to maintain No. 1 and this Saturday’s game will mark the fifth-straight week when they’ve been favored by double-digits.

The defending BCS champs have been a online college football betting machine rattling off 16 consecutive straight up wins in a row. For sports bettors, when betting against the spread, in their last 14 games in which a betting line has been posted, the Gators sport an 11-2-1 ATS mark – not too shabby at all.
In Florida’s last 11 games when favored by more than 8-points, they have also been impressive, going 8-2-1 against the spread.

After last week’s scare for Florida, this might be a spot where they look to really trounce an opponent.

Alabama vs. Tennessee

The AP’s No.1 team and the BCS’ No. 2 will host the Tennessee Volunteers and are favored by 14.5-points with an Over/Under of 43—‘Bama is listed at +250 to win the national championship this year.

Despite being favored by over two TDs, Alabama hasn’t been nearly as dominant against Tennessee; the Vols are 10-4 SU vs. the Tide but not such a good bet ATS, going 7-6-1 in those same games.

Tennessee has been very solid in its last nine games when listed at more than +8, going 7-1-1 ATS.
In the Volunteers’ last seven games in Alabama, they have gone 5-2 SU and 5-1-1 ATS.

A dark horse in the race for the BCS championship is the Miami Hurricanes. It’s been a while since The U” has been mentioned as a National contender, but with a current overall record of 5-1 (2-1 in the ACC) and a 10th-place ranking in the BCS, you wouldn’t be crazy to think that Miami has an outside shot in the BCS title game—they are a +2500 longshot to win the national title.

Unlike Florida and Alabama, the ‘Canes are favored by a single-digit this week; they are 5-point home faves for a game against the Clemson Tigers with a 44 Total.Clemson’s last 13 games against conference rivals have produced 10 Unders and 3 Overs and they have gone 6-2 ATS in their last eight ACC matchups.

Miami has been hot in their last nine home games, going 7-2 SU and in their last 18 home games with a posted Total, have 14 Unders and 4 Overs, including five-straight Unders in a row.

The Tigers have been very effective when ‘dogged by 6-points or less, going 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games with the betting line in that range.

College Picks:This week I’m laying the big points and playing on the Gators. I also might look at playing the underdog Tigers facing Miami.

Have a great week and good luck with your college bets.
