Free poker cash offer at Shane Warne’s tweet

Former Australian cricketer, the present IPL Rajasthan Royals Team Captain and Coach Shane Warne has been slammed for using his Twitter site to lure followers to sign up to an online gambling poker site.

Herald Sun reports, Warne, 40, tweeted on 11th April, that followers could get $8 free poker money if they signed up to the online gambling site.

"All my followers get free 8 dollars poker money by signing up here," he tweeted.

Warne has more than 47,000 followers in Twitter site, also included a link to the gambling online website.

The tweet angered Anti-gambling campaigner the Rev Tim Costello, said children could be influenced.

"Sporting heroes do carry a responsibility to ensure that kids who idolise them are protected from things that aren't appropriate for their age," Costello said.

"Most of us forget that you put something out there and people under age are also reading," he added.

Warne's agent, James Erskine, said he was not aware of the tweet.
