India have had a week off after playing Afghanistan and South Africa on consecutive days while Australia have played on the Barbados pitch, against Bangladesh. In that match, most of the Aussie top and middle order failed. That doesn't mean India should be resting on their laurels because the combination of David Warner and Shane Watson can be destructive.
What will give India hope is that even though Barbados is home to the fastest pitch in the Caribbean, Australia battled against spin against Bangladesh. Australia were reduced to 65 for six largely by the spin combination of Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammed Ashraful.
One of the Indian players who must have spent large parts of the build up to this match developing a healthy appetite for Australians, is Harbhajan Singh. Michael Clarke openly expressed his side's concerns with slower bowling and singled out Singh as the danger man.
Australia will be hoping Johnson has recovered from his elbow infection and can return to inject more pace into the bowling attack. Harris is no mug himself, but the trio of Johnson, Dirk Nannes and Shaun Tait is imminently more frightening than the one which includes Harris. The three paceman will be relied upon to do the bulk of the wicket taking and Watson and Clarke chipping in with a few overs.
They'll certainly have to break through woodwork because India have powerful batsman of their own, with Suresh Raina (the third international T20 centurion) leading the line up. Gautam Gambhir and Murali Vijay have yet to combine as an opening pair, but if they do, the results could be magnificent.
Yuvraj Singh has looked as though he is a giant slowly awakening. He made two useful contributions in the previous matches but now must unleash. He has a record of 101 runs from 55 balls in the two international T20s India have played against Australia.
