Soccer Friendly Match: Mexico Warm Up Match Against Ecuador

Mexico’s soccer team will play Ecuador in a World Cup qualifying match on Friday. The Mexican national team will inaugurate the $1.6 billion New Meadowlands Stadium before a sold-out crowd.

The Mexico playing in the next month’s fifa World Cup as a part of Group A, but the Ecuador doesn’t qualified for the world cup this time also.

The exhibition game in East Rutherford is part of a six-game U.S. tour for Mexico as it prepares to face South Africa in the World Cup opener June 11 in Johannesburg. In addition, Mexico will play England at Wembley on May 24 as the English get ready for their World Cup match against the United States on June 12.

The biggest question for the Mexico is who will start in goal for Mexico in South Africa. Whoever starts this game won't necessarily start in South Africa, nor does it mean he has an advantage over the other two.
